The cheese was very much like the Philadelphia style cream cheese I made using a recipe from Miyoko Schinner from the VegNews cheese issue (Oct. 2012) except Susmitha's recipe only required cashews and water. My memory isn't enough to compare them, I'd need to try them side-by-side to see if adding yogurt made a big difference. But it really does work to just use water.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16146578985330272891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2279822094292237889.post-71265498418494573162013-10-03T20:35:18.310-07:002013-10-03T20:35:18.310-07:00Your description of that bread was hilarious. Yesterday he came home with a bread he said was the same brand as the other one, but it was a completely different brand. If GF bread with cashew cheese and roasted pepper is the vegan sub for bagels and lox, then yes, I suppose it was. Yep. Exactly the same. Better, actually. :)Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16146578985330272891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2279822094292237889.post-77103054285845198792013-09-28T12:45:18.305-07:002013-09-28T12:45:18.305-07:00See, now Andrea was that glaring necessary? Now if Larry told me I that there was only one GF bread option in WFs I would have said, I bet you didn't bring your glasses did you I was eyeing that cashew creme over at Susmitha's too. I recently bought a yogurt maker mainly for the purpose of fermenting things at an even temperature, because fermenting things freaks me out and my brain things that if I use an appliance everything is going to be OK.Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06893359086981114989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2279822094292237889.post-36445504442148472222013-09-27T14:01:59.692-07:002013-09-27T14:01:59.692-07:00Does this every sound great!
