The sun shines in Seattle

Can there be too much sun in Seattle? I'll take it.

  1. Haha!Really? That's amazing. I'm lovin' this late summer blast. I could be wrong, but my guess is that once the candle-bending temps subside next week, it'll be wrap on summer, but I think we're in for a sublime autumn.

  2. Wow. WOW. I hope you haven't melted yet.

  3. Is that ever funny! It almost looks like that candle was made that way, it's bent so perfectly.

  4. Hi, Andrea:

Glad to see you're back (too)! We're having a heatwave in Edmonton, Canada, as well, but nothing like yours, apparently. It's just kind of...nice...

  5. Rose, yes really. Now that the summer is finally here, I want it stay, even if all my candles bend in the sun. I love the sunshine and warmth, and I hope you're right about the fall.

    Mihl,
As long as I stay off the cabinet by the window I'll probably be ok. :)

    Molly,
I wish I could use it but it would drip down. Maybe I'll put a dish under it and see what happens.

    ZOA!
so nice to see your name appear! I've been wondering how you were. I'm assuming from your comment you have a new post up that I haven't seen. Our Internet has been down and I haven't read any blogs today. I'll take a look if we ever get it working. Welcome back! I've missed you.

  6. This somehow really creeps me out. Something a little too phallically flaccid. Is that just me?? Hilarious, though.

  7. Food fued,
It is a little weird and creepy but you just described it in a way I hadn't thought of. Of course you've changed that, and now I may have to change the kid-friendly rating my blog has had up until now.

  8. I agree with FF ^, only that's the reason I love it as much as I do.

  9. I had the same thought as Food Feud. My bad!! I love it though; Seattle having a heat wave? The sun is nice and I hope you are enjoying every last ray of it and that the humidity isn't too uncomfortable. I have begun to take the sunshine for granted here in Tahoe, although last night's thunderstorm with buckets of rain made me SO happy (and homesick).

  10. Abby,
I guess I just wasn't seeing things clearly, but now I do. I was overcome by sunlight.

    Christina,
Yes, it's been sunny and hot every day for at least a week. It's great! I think the humidity is just fine, and the warmth is making me so happy. I don't miss the rain at all, but the poor brown grass sure does.

  11. I would totally love Seattle because there is NO sun. I am so Conan O Brien White but not so cute!!!!!

  12. Okay, okay, after reading the comments, I've figured out that it's a candle! I had no idea what you were showing us. I mean you do have a reputation of photographing all your unmentionables strewn across a couch, you know.

  13. Get Skinny,
I wouldn't say there's no sun, but there is much less during the winter than I'm used to. Until you've lived with day after day of gloom and rain, it's hard to imagine what it's like.

    Blessedmama,
You have a very good memory! But just to set the record straight, that was a "reconstructed" scene meant to illustrate another person's unmentionables, not mine. (Though I suppose they were mine.) :)
